Bed Rest Hill
We went up "bed rest hill" to Nordeen Shelter last weekend. There had just been several days of great snowfall in the mountains and very cold temperatures so the snow had not yet melted off the trees. The shelter was filled with some retired couples out for their daily ski. We shared tales of skiing and snow adventures, ate our snacks and then we were on our way back down the hill. Nordeen shelter was the destination that a group of us headed to last November when Julie was pregnant, with a heavy load in her middle. The trip ultimately put Julie on bed rest until Alex was born in February, hence the new name we have for the place, Bed Rest Hill.
This trip was much easier, however, now the load was on the outside, riding high on Shaun's back in his little chariot backpack.
