High Desert Hijinks

Alexander David has joined our small family here on the High Desert. Alex joined us Sunday February 19 and we are most excited at his arrival, as well as a bit anxious for the changes coming our way. You are invited to come and check out our blog whenever you like to see what we are up to, view photos and witness the hijinks about to ensue here in our little home on the High Desert. Thanks!!!

Fires in Central Oregon

We have had some great sun sets...thanks to all that burning timber out there in the woods!!!

Beep Beep met her demise

Shaun was in a car accident last week. He was unhurt, but Beep Beep...she isn't with us anymore. A good car to more than just one generation of Larson's...she deserves a moment of silence in recognition of her tireless efforts to transport, safely carry and shlep and lastly, move about the country without making a pig of herself and only imbibing at the pumps approximately every 500 miles or so...

bow boy

....some day Alex will be able to object to my taking advantage of him being so dang maluable...but for now, he is totally cute, a willing fantastic partner in my silly antics and...a great help in unwrapping gifts!

Help. help-help..I am held captive...I can't wait until I can walk.

I don't think Alex was particularly excited about his situation this day....?

We put a pool in our back yard !

It has been a really stinkin' hot summer this year so we decided to invest in some pool side property. We have been enjoying the cool waters, deckside catering, the private lawn and unrushed atmosphere of our new addition. Plus, I think Alex is pleased that he can parade around in his birthday suit without worry of embarassing confrontation or making a mess in other peoples play pool.

"Lookey lookey...do you like my new swim shorts?"

Alex particularly likes the yellow rubber.

(eh-hmmmm...look carefully at Alex's role model...or is it the other way around?)

Bend Brew Fest.

We went to the Bend Microbrew Fest today. It was hot hot hot but we found some shade and had a picinic...and some beer too.

Alex had a good time playing and giggling with Shaun, however, at times, I think he gets a bit overwhelmed...
".....mmmm, now where did Daddy go?!"

We are in the sling of things now

Alex is 6 months old today!!! We are getting in the sling of things pretty well here. Alex loves being in his sling, clings like a little monkey to mom and dad and even sleeps in it.
