Our trip to Salem

Last weekend we went to Salem to attend the Oregon State Fair. On our way there we stopped at Silver Falls Park and walked down the path to the nearest waterfall.

We have no pictures of the fair, funny since that was our main destination. It was hot and crowded and we forgot to get the camera out. Alex fell asleep while we strolled around looking at the vegetables and quilts....imagine that a kid falling asleep in the Ag. building!! ?

Alex has a new love

We found a new toy for Alex at our favorite consignment shop. The woman that works there has a little boy just Alex's age and he was playing in the toy while we were looking at it. Both Lucas and Alex loved the toy...especially cute little Lucas, who was laughing and bouncing up and down inside the chair while Alex looked on from the outside. Poor Lucas did such a convincing job at how fun an excer-saucer can be, he literally sold it out from under himself. Luckily there was another one there for him to play in, but I can't seem to shake that feeling of "stealing candy from a baby".

Alex is learning to communicate with others now,

...however, I think Alex is trying to convince Snuggle Puppy to take one for the team and eat his green beans for him.

I have a thought...

...and I really don't like the green beans so much.
